SWEETEST DOWNFALL

I made another poem, this time it's about the thoughts and feelings of a broken hearted person. I'll make this quick because I don't have plenty of time to make this post longer. I have many things to do and I only have less than one hour to finish them all. To those who are interested, please read the poem below,

At night, when the moon is at its brightest

I lie awake feeling restless.

My eyes keep on darting from here and there,

Groping for the faintest light somewhere.

Shivering under the sun’s burning heat

While waiting for a friendly greet.

My body gets numb, wet and cold

 Yet still nobody has called.

The pain stabs me right through my chest

Everything seems like a pretty mess.

Cried but tears no longer fall

It all ends, so sad it reached the toll.

Moonlight is gleaming over us.

Stars are hiding behind the clouds.

Memories linger deep within me

But the delight of yesterday’s been wiped free.

A bittersweet farewell took us apart

After getting thorn by a lovely rose.

Its beauty deceives like no other

Only to bring unbearable somber.

A single bite on a red apple

Brought me to unconscious belief.

Fed in lies as sweet as honey

It is all poison to me.

I poured my heart without a second thought

Lived each day with joyous laughter.

But later love started to wither

Like a flower that’s been left by summer.

Days went by so fleetingly.

I walked with the time’s slow pace

I waited, unaware how long it has been,

All has been left behind, a new day springs.

Actually I don't know if the poems I made is fine but I hope it's not as ugly as what i have thought sometimes.

A TALE OF LOVE

I just want to share a poem I made here on my lj account. But before I post my work, I would like to share why did i make one first of all.

Our professor in Plilippine Literature asked our class to make either a poem or a short story which will serve as our project before the first semester of our second year in college ends. Both of the literary pieces should be written in English. The project was actually to be submitted in October but I chose to finish it a bit ahead of time since my friends were also starting on their work too. I'm thinking of a gloomy subject but I realized I'm not in the mood and i don't have an inspiration to base my poem so I just decided to create a poem that focuses on love instead.

The poem I made is simple and doesn't have very deep meaning, which makes it easy to understand -well just in my opinion-. The poem goes like this:

Seasons change
Leaves sprout and fall
Snows grows thick then melts
But love, surely, will always be felt.

The birds chirp
Singing in harmonious tunes.
It fills my world with fantastic sounds,
As we stood hand in hand on the ground.

Abook tells,
Shares stories every now and then.
Keeping up with every phase I read
I'll begin writing our tale with my pen.

It's the crack of dawn,
A new day unfolds.
The scent of morning rushes through the window,
Suddenly I thought,
MY, MY, Cupid had struck me with his arrow.

The rain pours overhead,
Gale blows like a whip.
When a lightning strikes I cross my fingers and pray
Then the shadows of fear soon dies away.

Your eyes twinkle,
Like how the stars shine upon the sky.
Every moment seems magical,
Leaving me breathless with your alluring smile.

What captivates me?
Do I really know?
As long as its you, believe me,
My heart is yours alone, ultil the river stops to flow.

Take my hand,
My angel, wait, face me now.
Don't go, stay a little more,
I'll love you now and forevermore.

The leaves fell as a light breeze approached.
A smile appeared upon your face,
You broke the silence and say,
"Did you know, I also feel the same way?"

The heart rejoices,
Unlocking love by the missing key.
The clock seems to stop, freezing the moment
In my life, you bring endless glee.
